The Casey Clarke Show with Roo Phelps has “KIXXed” off on all Newcap country stations!  The Casey Clarke Show with Roo Phelps originates from our Okanagan operation where it airs as the morning show on Country 100.7.  This show is designed to reflect the brand “family fun.”  Casey and Roo have a natural chemistry and an impressive background in the country format.  Casey Clarke is one of only two Canadians to ever win the Country Music Association’s International Broadcaster of the Year award and Roo Phelps is Canada’s only fourth-generation broadcaster in an unbroken line!  Casey and Roo won the Canadian Country Music Award for On-Air Personality of the Year last year and have won the BCCMA for On-Air Personality of the Year the last two years.  They are personalities that add value to our stations.  The Casey Clarke Show with Roo Phelps can be heard weeknights (6:00 - 10:00) on 103.9 FM KIXX Country.

Casey Clarke has been a household name to anyone who loves country music, as Casey has been on television and radio for well over two decades.  Casey Clarke has been called “the face” of CMT (Country Music Television) having hosted various programs on the network since 1997.  Casey is one of the most recognizable personalities in Canada.  Casey Clarke was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and found out early in life he wanted a career in broadcasting.  After working for stations like CFOK (Westlock, AB) and Mountain FM (Whistler/Squamish, BC), Casey found himself in Vancouver working for The Satellite Radio Network and syndicated on 71 stations across Canada.  Casey Clarke later left Vancouver to work for Silk FM in Kelowna, BC, and then went to Calgary to join CMT.

Roo Phelps is a fourth-generation broadcaster born and raised on Vancouver Island.  Since 1999, Roo has worked on-air and as a producer throughout BC, including several years in Vancouver.  Roo Phelps is lover of dogs, a daddy’s girl, an advocate for epilepsy awareness and education, a banjo player, and a diehard country fan.
